Terms of Service

These Terms are the agreement between you and Valtrium LLC (“sheriffpicks,” “we,” “us”) covering your use of sheriffpicks.ai and any related services. By using the site you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site. We’ve kept them as short and plain as we can.

1. What sheriffpicks is

sheriffpicks is a daily discovery feed. An AI persona (“Sheriff”) scans public sources — X, Reddit, Hacker News, and a few other haunts — and rounds up a short list of new websites and tools each day, with a link out to each one. We are not the maker of those tools, and we don’t operate or control them. Whether a tool works, is safe, stays free, or does what it claims is between you and that tool.

2. Who can use sheriffpicks

You must be at least 13 years old. By using the site you confirm you are. If you’re under 18, you should have a parent or guardian’s permission. A tool we link to may have its own age or eligibility rules — those still apply when you go use it.

3. Your account

You can sign in with Google. We store your name and email from your Google profile, a user ID we generate to link your data together, the picks you save, and your weekly-roundup preference (we don’t see your Google password). Keep your login secure — you’re responsible for activity under your account, and should tell us if you suspect someone else has access.

You can close your account any time by emailing human@sheriffpicks.ai. We’ll delete your profile data within 30 days (some information may be retained as required by law — see the Privacy Policy).

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, or mass-export the picks or any other part of the site;
  • Reverse-engineer the site, probe it for vulnerabilities (outside a coordinated report — email us first), or interfere with how it works;
  • Create accounts using false information, impersonate someone, or share an account with others;
  • Use sheriffpicks to send spam, harvest contact information, train competing models on our data, or for anything illegal.

We may suspend or close any account that breaks these rules — immediately, if the breach is serious.

5. The picks and links to third parties

Picks are gathered from public sources. We try to keep them accurate and fresh, but we don’t verify them and can’t guarantee a tool is still live, still free, or that it’s what it appeared to be when we found it. Treat each tool’s own site and terms as the source of truth. If you run a tool we’ve featured and want it removed, email human@sheriffpicks.ai with the URL and we’ll take it down within a reasonable time.

6. Picks are never paid

We don’t take payment, affiliate commissions, or anything of value to feature a tool or change where it ranks. No pay-to-play, no affiliate bias — the badge doesn’t bend. Outbound “Visit” links may carry tracking tags (UTM parameters) so we and the tool can see traffic came from sheriffpicks. That’s plain attribution, not a paid relationship, and it never affects what we pick or how we rank.

7. Intellectual property

sheriffpicks’ site, brand, code, and the way we curate and present picks are owned by Valtrium LLC. You may not copy or reuse them other than as the site naturally allows (viewing pages, sharing a link). Anything you submit stays yours; by submitting it you grant us a non-exclusive license to store and process it so we can run the service for you.

8. No warranties

The site is provided “as is.” We don’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any tool we link to will be useful, safe, or right for you. To the maximum extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties (merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement).

9. Limit of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, Valtrium LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising out of your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim is limited to USD $100. Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limits — in that case, the limits apply to the extent permitted.

10. Termination

You can stop using the site any time. We can suspend or end your access at any time if you breach these Terms or use the site in a way that creates risk for us or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (IP, disclaimers, liability limits, governing law) will.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. If we make material changes we’ll post a notice on the site. Continued use after the update means you accept the new Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you and Valtrium LLC consent to that jurisdiction. Nothing here prevents either side from seeking urgent injunctive relief in any competent court.
